Writing the professional thesis “Las Sociedades Mercantiles Mexicanas ante la Inversión Extranjera” (Mexican Mercantile Companies and Foreign Investment).
He worked for 7 years at the law firm Noriega y Escobedo A.C., mainly in corporate matters, foreign investment, industrial and intellectual property, civil and commercial contracts.
He worked at IBM de Mexico as head of the Legal Department and later as Director of Governmental Programs and International Organizations managing projects in Mexico, the United States and Latin America related to International Trade and Telecommunications Treaties, participating very actively in the Latin American Integration Association, and during 1985 he was particularly involved in the process of Mexico’s accession to the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT).
From 1997 to 2000, he was General Secretary of the Mexican Soccer Federation, mainly in charge of the legal and administrative area, with emphasis on the resolution of controversies at both national and international level.
